How is the training and season in the USA structured?

In addition to daily team practice on the court, the teams usually do 2 to 3 strength and conditioning session per week. Practice at an American college is often more demanding and intensive than in Europe. Due to the high intensity, the basketball teams have excellent conditions and access to physical therapists, chiropractors and doctors. They also have access to all recovery facilities on a daily basis.

The season usually starts in early October and ends – depending on your team’s performance – in early April with the national playoff games, called NCAA March Madness. The games, which take place two to three times a week, are at least as well attended as in the top divisions of your home country. The atmosphere is simply fantastic.
