How many scholarships are there?
Wrestling at American universities is currently only supported on the men’s side. There are many options here to get a scholarship. Unfortunately, this is not yet the case with women. However, there is also the option of getting a sports scholarship. This is a decision that each university makes individually.

How is the training in the USA structured?
The college teams usually train between five and seven competition-like workouts per week, each lasting two hours in modern training facilities that are located directly on campus. In addition, there are between two and four strength and conditioning workouts.

What does a season at college look like?
Depending on the team’s schedule, the season begins either at the end of October or at the beginning of November and ends with the national championships at the end of March. There is a short break between Christmas and New Year.
The level at the competitions is considered to be very high, as many junior world champions compete for US colleges.
